WE ARE A  TACTICAL ACADEMY!

"Once you choose the life of SWAT you lose the right to be unfit"

However with that said we  are a "Tactical Academy" and not a "PT Academy" and as such have no physical skill requirements other than being able to perform the job, and successfully complete the courses.   So we leave the physical requirements up to the individual departments that employ and send the officers to us.

Our fast paced live action oriented scenarios will require a higher level of physical fitness than that of a patrol officer so come prepared and in shape. We are not the military, training NAVY SEALS , we are training  SWAT which is an urban Tac Force used in drastically different environments for different purposes.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Our Tactical Modules  are ideal for agencies developing a Tactical Response or Narcotics Unit with only a limited training budget.  These modules have been specifically developed to meet the needs of  both the advanced and newly assigned tactical / narcotics officer . These modules are designed in such a way that they are ideal as an annual refresher program and can be customized to meet the needs of any particular agency.

Pre-Requisite

Course Length

7 Days Mon.-Sun. / 12 hrs per day

OFFICERS MUST BRING
Ammo:
1000 Rounds Pistol, 1000 Rounds Entry Sub-Gun.

Diversionary Devices:
4 Flash-Bangs

Gear:
All tactical equipment (Raid Vest & Light Vest) including helmet, goggles, tac vest, boots, tac gloves, Camo's etc. including clothing appropriate for weather.

Weapons:
Sidearm, Entry weapon. (flashlights & or weapon mounted illumination)

Physical Requirements:
Though there is no "Physical Test" to pass for participation in these courses, they are PHYSICALLY DEMANDING as are the expectations of SWAT officers.  You are expected to be in superior shape to be a Special Weapons Operator and to help keep you warmed up and motivated there will be PT each morning.   Candidates are expected to be in excellent physical condition to withstand hours of both classroom and tactical instruction.  A Special Weapons Operator candidate should expect to be training for up to 12 hours a day.
