IT IS PHYSICALLY DEMANDING, BUT WELL WORTH IT!
EVEN SOMEONE WHO HAS SPENT LITTLE TIME ON THE MAT, REGARDLESS OF SIZE,
CAN UNDERSTAND, RETAIN AND RECALL THE CONCEPTS QUICKLY WHEN NEEDED.

An officer will put their hands on a suspect far more often than they will shoot, ironically we have mandatory shooting requirements and proficiency levels but no realistic ones for empty hand subject control.

Yet the unarmed sudden violent life and death assault is one of the officers greatest fears. Officers know what to do with a gun, pepper spray and baton if they can get to them, but they have not really been taught what to do with their hands.

UNTIL NOW!

PRINCIPLES OF MOVEMENT AND
AGGRESSION CONTROL ARE UNPARALLELED!

OFFICERS LEARN NOT TO DEPEND ON INDIVIDUAL TECHNIQUES,
INSTEAD TO UTILIZE BASIC FIGHTING PRINCIPLES
AGAINST ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES OF ATTACK!

INJURIES TO OFFICERS AND AGGRESSORS
ARE GREATLY REDUCED!

An officer will put his hands on a suspect far more often than he will shoot, ironically we have mandatory shooting requirements and proficiency levels, but none for empty hand. In Japan they realized this fact many years ago and mandated that all officers will train in the grappling and controlling art of Taiho-jutsu or Ju-jutsu. ALEA is the answer in the United States and is only taught by certified instructors. One of the biggest fears officers have is the ground fight and the ALEA non-impact subject control course alleviates this fear. This basic subject control course teaches an officer how to go to the ground safely while controlling others without the need for striking.  The ALEA program is the only one of it's kind that teaches officers how to control others in small confined areas (ie. bedrooms, busses, planes).
